Japan’s cherry blossoms are emerging increasingly early Experts think climate change is to blame

Despite the climate change “to blame”, this precious article from The Economist delivers at least two surprises upon the links on the text: a poem and a tale, both delightful !

For a taste, an excerpt from the article:  “we would suggest Motojiro Kajii’s delightful, oft-quoted poem “Under the Cherry Blossoms”, which begins with the less-than-cheery line: “There are bodies buried beneath the cherry trees.”
